7 Weeks

I was on spring break last week (hence the non-posting, we were gone quite a bit visiting family, etc.). Now it's back to reality: battling queasiness in front of a classroom full of kids and pretending that I'm happy to be energetically and enthusiastically teaching them, rather than curled up on my couch with a puke pail nearby.  I forgot how much fun it is to teach with morning sickness...uuuugggghhh!!!!

Well, the good news is that while I feel nauseous most of the day, the bloat has definitely receded.

I feel like I look normal.  I guess I should enjoy it while it lasts! :)

How far along? 7 weeks

Weight gain/loss: I lost another pound, so 2 lbs. below my pre-pregnancy weight.  I was surprised considering my Easter candy binge and a weekend of tailgating.

Feeling: Very tired, and very dizzy.  I think I need to drink more water.  The dizziness doesn't help the queasiness.

Maternity clothes? Nope.  I lent all of my maternity clothes to my sister, but I know she bought a bunch too.  I'm sure she's give me everything after her baby is born in a few weeks.  (So excited for her!!)  I'm looking forward to the variety.

Sleep: Better last week when I was on break.  I tossed and turned last night though.  I always sleep better when I'm not as worried about school.

Food cravings: German chocolate cake with coconut pecan icing.  I may or may not have eaten 2/3 of one in less than 24 hours last week.

Movement? I'm going to have to wait a bit for this one.  :(

Gender? According to the Chinese gender predictor: If we conceived in March, it's a girl, but a boy if we conceived in February....I wasn't charting, so I don't know for sure...it's on the border line, but I'm just hoping it's one or the other.  ;)

What I miss? Alcohol.  Specifically a cold Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy.

Best moment this week: Going to Brewer's opening day on Friday with M.  He goes every year, and I go if I am on spring break.  We were with a ton of friends we haven't seen in a while, and it was a really fun day.

What I'm looking forward to: Going to bed!!! And, more importantly, the birth of my niece.  (My sister is 38 weeks today, and dilated 3 cm!!!  Hopefully it will be soon!)

Next Appointment: April 25th.
